Warranty

LIMITED 2003 WARRANTY ON BONNEVILLE PRODUCTS
BONNEVILLE is proud to offer a limited warranty, which is a testimony of confidence in the quality of our windows, doors, patio doors and french doors that covers defects in materials and workmanship. This manufacturer’s warranty is only provided to the original owner and is not transferable.

ALUMINIUM AND PVC EXTRUSIONS, ROLL-FORMED ALUMINIUM
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) extrusions (frame and sash), aluminium extrusions used on solid aluminium windows (frame and sash) and all roll-formed aluminium and extruded aluminium claddings used in the manufacture of all BONNEVILLE products are warranted for 20 years against flaking, blistering, peeling and breaking up.

BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty of five (5) years for the painting on PVC against breaking up, peeling, blistering and a unequal discoloration (more than five Delta-E units).

STEEL DOORS
BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty for a period of twenty (20) years on the finish of the white factory painted steel 24 gauge door slabs; for a period of ten (10) years on the finish of the white primed steel 24 gauge door slabs; and for a period of five (5) years on the finish of the beige primed steel 26 gauge door slabs against major damages caused by shrinkage, swelling, warping or corrosion (excluding corrosion likely to appear following a cut-out in the door panel).

BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty of two (2) years against defects in workmanship on all exterior steel doors and the colour paint applied on the door against breaking up, peeling, fissuring and unequal discoloration (more than five Delta-E units).

FIBERGLASS DOORS
BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty for a period of twenty (20) years, on the smooth finish fiberglass doors against major damages caused by shrinkage, swelling, warping or corrosion (excluding corrosion likely to appear following a cut-out in the door panel).

BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty of two (2) years against defects in workmanship on all exterior fiberglass doors and the colour paint applied on the door against breaking up, peeling, fissuring and unequal discoloration (more than five Delta-E units).

GLASS (SEALED UNITS)
BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty for a period of twenty (20) years on insulated glass units (Low-E and double seal); for a period of ten (10) years on regular insulated glass units and on decorative door insertions (stained-glass, V-groove, silkscreen, impression) against seal failure causing substantially impaired vision due to the formation of moisture, film or dust between glass.

BONNEVILLE insulated glass units are covered by a limited warranty of one (1) year against stress-cracked and against defects in workmanship.

WOOD (COMPONENTS)
BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty of two (2) years against defect in workmanship on wood, aluminium clad wood and PCV clad wood windows.

HARDWARE
BONNEVILLE extends a limited warranty of two (2) years against defects in materials and workmanship on all hardware, on screens and grilles supplied with the product. Some manufacturers may extend the limited warranty of certain products and in such a case the owner will benefit from the extension.

OTHER PRODUCTS, COMPONENTS OR OPTIONS
All other BONNEVILLE products, components or options not specifically described above are warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of two (2) years.

CONDITIONS
All BONNEVILLE warranties described in the present certificate are strict1y subject to the following conditions and limitations contained herein:

The warranty period will start from the purchase date of the product.

During the first two (2) years only, BONNEVILLE assumes the cost of the technician to do the repairs to the defective product or component. For the following years, BONNEVILLE will only supply the materials and/or the replacement components. The workmanship, scaffolding, transportation and all work repair, installation and the finishing off or the painting.

BONNEVILLE, as its option, will either repair or send a replacement window, door or component to a BONNEVILLE retailer or may elect to refund your original product purchase price on presentation of the original of proof of purchase. Any replacement product or component will be warrantied for the remainder of the applicable warranty period.

BONNEVILLE will provide the replacement glass only or the glass insert (depending on the product type) to the BONNEVILLE retailer.

The BONNEVILLE warranty does not cover products repaired or modified, or on which a repair, or modification has been attempted by persons other than BONNEVILLE’s authorized personnel.

The BONNEVILLE warranty becomes null and avoid if the installation does not respect BONNEVILLE’s recommended norms or standards or if the weather strip or the hardware has been painted, varnished or coated with any incompatible material which damages the products.

The BONNEVILLE warranty becomes null and void if the wood windows and doors are not maintained regularly and protected against water and humidity with paint or stain during the thirty (30) days following the date of delivery from our manufacturing facilities.

The warranty applies only when the product is used under normal conditions.

This warranty is the complete warranty and BONNEVILLE makes no other warranty whether it is expressed or implied as to any matter whatsoever.

BONNEVILLE reserves the right to modify and improve its products without being required to modify or improve products already manufactured and delivered.

Claims under this warranty must be detailed and made in writing to the distributor, lumber dealer or contractor who sold the BONNEVILLE products with presentation of the original proof of purchase.

The preceding provisions do not in any way limit the application of laws which, in certain Provinces or States, may forbid or restrict certain limitations or exclusions provided for in this limited warranty. If this is the case, this limited warranty shall remain in full force subject to the application of the relevant legislative provisions.

If, after 15 days, your local BONNEVILLE dealer or distributor has not responded to your complaint, send a written complaint to: Groupe BONNEVILLE inc., 274, rue Duschesnay, C.P. 1000, Sainte-Marie (Québec), G6E 3C2, c/o: Client service department.

LIMITATIONS
The BONNEVILLE limited warranty does not cover: This warranty sets forth BONNEVILLE’s maximum liability for its products. BONNEVILLE shall not be liable for special, indirect, incidental, consequential or incidental damages.

The BONNEVILLE warranty does not apply if the product or one of its components is subjected to abusive use, a lack of normal maintenance, accident, minor scratches, other imperfections in the glass that do not impair structured integrity, a faulty installation or excessive mechanical or thermal stress.

Regular maintenance work, the replacement of parts requiring regular maintenance, damages caused by accidents, or other fortuitous events, glass breakage, or screen tear, formation of frost on vinyl or aluminium sections, condensation on glass when the relative humidity inside is too high compared to the outside temperature, or fading, and oxidation of metal parts.

A variation in the color or texture of wood is inherent to this material and does not constitute a defect under the terms of the present warranty.

The warping of wood, or steel doors equal to or less than ¼ inches, or 6 mm, in the plane of the window or door.

The replacement of wood component does not cover painting or other coating.

Damages resulting from exposure to harmful vapors, chemical products, excessive temperatures, oxidation, extreme climatic conditions, poor ventilation and excessive humidity.

Multiple failures of the silicone or wood components caused by exposure to excessive humidity, or condensation.

BONNEVILLE could void this warranty on the white primed steel 24 gauge door slab, the beige primed steel 26 gauge door slab or the fibreglass door if it is not painted by the owner within six months of the purchase because those products are only delivered with a primer coat and need a protective finish.

Aluminium grills between the glass rattling or causing noise due to vibrations in the immediate environment or in venting units, such as venting window, sashes and doors panels.

Spontaneous breakage that occurs when the glass develops a crack but shows no sign of impact.

All damage to the transported merchandise or to any good, or any person.

Scratches that could eventually be visible on the product’s finish are not considered defects in the terms of this warranty.

Normal wear and tear of the BONNEVILLE product or components.
